SELF TREATMENT

The key to maintaining a pain-free, healthy life lies in the self-care techniques we teach our patients. It is essential that patients play an active role in their own recovery.

This is why our therapists Mary Biancalana and Sharon Sauer have written:

Trigger Point Therapy for Low Back Pain.

Trigger Point Therapy for Low Back Pain Book

This new book provides self-care techniques for the relief of low back and buttock pain, the most common muscular pain problem for our patients.

The book is primarily intended to teach self-care techniques for people in pain; but it will also spread awareness among the public and medical practitioners of the prevalence of trigger points and referred pain, and the efficacy of myofascial trigger point therapy in general.

Trigger Point Therapy for Low Back Pain is scheduled for release internationally early 2010 so keep checking here for availability!

Trigger Point Torso

“Three years ago I was diagnosed with stenosis, causing me a great deal of sciatic nerve pain. The most common treatment was a potentially dangerous surgery, which I was anxious to avoid. So I consulted with Sharon Sauer. After treating me once in my home and advising me on a daily regimen of stretching and self-treatment exercises, my pain was relieved within about 2 months. An MRI shortly thereafter revealed I was no longer in need of surgery.”
